Beautiful town and the capital of
the
Municipality of Skilloudas built amphitheatrically on the slope of a hill
with pine trees and the church of St. George on the peak. It has 5644
residents and is 20 km SE of Pyrgos.
SIGHTS
THE VILLA OF PAPALEXI in the east part of the town.
The architectual masterpiece of Schiller built in 1891 as
residence for Nikos Papalexi the minister of Olympia (ancestor
of Morogiaqnnis Papalexi) and vice president in
Parliament (with the political party of H.
Tricoupi).
THE MAGNIFICANT MONUMENT FOR THE WAR HEROES
at the western entrance of the town made by the sculptor
Falirea. .
THE PINE FOREST OF SEFERLI
in on a hill and has a wonderful view. It is at the
entrance of the town. An ideal place for walking and picnics and has a
restaurant near the entrance.
ST. GEORGE
built in 1830. It is North/West of the town on a hill. It has many murals of
the saints drawn in 1976 by D. Giannakopoulos.
THE VIRGIN MARY. A
beautiful Basilic church built in 1902.

«The Raisin Fair»
. Athree day cultural with exhibitions, concerts, folk
dancing, which takes place in the first ten days of August dedicated to the
black raisin of corinthos, one the main products of the area.
