A beautiful village
built on a hill. It is divided in two areas called "Tournesiari" and "Frixa".
It is 13 km from Krestena and it has 525 residents. In 1999 a serious
problem of ground corrosion came up, so there is a possibility for the
residents to be taken to another place.

FRIXON MOUNTAIN
in
the area of "Paliofanaro" with a wonderful view and the ruins of Ancient
Frixa and the famous temple of Kydonia Athina.
THE
UNDERGROUND TUNNEL a
long tunnel from Paliofanaro to the Alpheios river.
THE ALPHEIOS with beautiful
surroundings and wild scenery. Its
shady green banks offer serenity and relaxation close to nature.
THE
CHILDREN'S "Olympia
camp" in the same area up the hill.

FESTIVALS: A fair on September 8 in honour of
the Virgin Mary (Panagia ).
The children's camp "Olympia Camp" at
Paliofanaro is open every summer.
